Palmolive Soft Touch Dish Liquid

I recently received a VoxBox from Influenster which contained two full sized bottles of Palmolive Soft Touch Dish Liquid for me to try out and review.

For those of you who are not familiar with Influenster, it is a program that you sign up for and based on your profile and your social media usage, they will send you out a VoxBox which contains different products. It is completely free, all you have to do is review the products and complete a survey to be eligible for VoxBoxes. The more active you are with your social media, earning badges and so forth, the more likely you are to receive a VoxBox. If you would like to sign up for Influenster you can do so here.

I had seen the Palmolive Soft Touch Dish Liquids in the store before recieving them, but I had not purchased them yet. I have always hated to do dishes, as it is so drying to my hands.Plus it is hard to find good smelling dish soap that is also good for your hands. Palmolive is tough on grease, but easy on hands. I really liked the fact that not only am I doing the dishes but I am also moisturizing my hands :) The two scents that I received were Aloe(green) and Vitamin E(pink).

Both of them smell really good, and do a great job on the dishes as well as keeping your skin soft. I didn't have any issues whatsoever. My favorite one of the two was the Aloe. I ended up giving the Vitamin E Soft Touch to my aunt, who has used it before and loves it.  My only advice is that you don't use too much as it will get too sudsy. I definitely reccomend this to everyone, especially those with dry skin.

For more information about Palmolive Soft Touch Dish Liquid visit here and you can also check out Palmolives Review page on Influenster here. Palmolive Soft Touch Dish Liquid can be found at your local Walmart.

Disclaimer: I received these items complimentary from Influenster and all opinions are my own.

Urban Decay Haul

As I was browsing around the Internet on the 25th, I saw that Urban Decay was having a flash sale. Once I headed over to Urban Decay, I saw they had given their site a makeover and in honor of that makeover the Feminine, Dangerous, and Fun palettes were half price along with their amazing primer potion in "Greed" for two days only.

I decided that of course I didn't already have way too much makeup and bought both the fun and feminine palettes and the primer potion. I also hit up the sale and got one of their vintage eyeshadows to make my order hit $50 so I could get the free shipping :)

First things first, let me show you what it all looks like :)

We will start off with the vintage shadow. I got it in Ecstasy. It is a really pretty purple shadow with a slight pink tint. I already own a few of the vintage eyeshadows and for $4 you can't beat it.

The next item is the Feminine Palette. It has six eyeshadows, and a travel- size Lip Junkie Lip Gloss in Wallflower. The names of the shadows are Bordello, Skimp, AC/DC, Gunmetal, Hijack, and Lost.

Bordello- pale mauve with gold micro-glitter
Skimp- light peachy pearl
AC/DC- smokey greyish purple shimmer
Gunmetal- dark metallic grey shimmer with silver micro-glitter
Hijack- deep metallic teal shimmer
Lost- medium metallic brown shimmer

Wallflower- nude creamy pink

The Fun palette also has six eyeshadows and a travel size Lip Junkie Lip Gloss in Midnight Cowboy. The names of the shadows are Deep End, Sellout, Fishnet, Stray Dog, and Freakshow.

Deep End- bright teal shimmer
Sellout- pinky champagne shimmer
Fishnet- bright pink with purple shift
Stray Dog- cool metallic ash brown shimmer
Freakshow- deep royal purple pearl

Midnight Cowboy Lip Junkie Lip Gloss- sheer nude sparkle

The really cool thing about these palettes is that you can take the eyeshadow holder out. It has a magnet on it and you can reuse the case for something else.

And last I got the Urban Decay Primer Potion (UDPP) in Greed. It is a shimmering gold color. While i like this one, My favorite of the four is Eden. To me it feels a little thicker and I feel it makes my shadows last longer.

Did anyone else buy any goodies during the flash sale? If so, what did ya get?

Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment

Let me just start by saying I am a complete lip product hoarder. In my opinion you can never have too many lip products! I find it hard to ever finish a lip product, even if I really love it, before the next great thing comes out.

I have seen so many people talk about the Fresh Sugar Lip Treatments, that I just had to try them! They currently have 8 available on the Sephora website. Right now I only own 2 and they are the mini ones from the sephora birthday gift last year. I have the original and Sugar Rose. I didn't think I was gonna like the Sugar Rose because it looks red in the tube but when I tried it on my lips it was a sheer hint of color. They both make your lips feel soft and smooth. When they are applied to your lips it is almost as if it melt rights on. But in a good way. Lol.

They retail for $22.50 @ www.sephora.com. Another great quality is they have SPF 15 in them!

What other lip products do you use?

Hard Candy Lite Bright Whipped Brightening Concealer

I have been on a hunt for a good concealer that will cover my dark under eyes and not look caked on. I have had a hard time finding a concealer that matches me just right. So as I was browsing threw the aisles of Walmart the other day I came across the Hard Candy Lite Bright Whipped Brightening Concealer. I got it in the shade 506 Medium. It retails for $6.

I have to say this concealer is pretty darn good. It is not too thick and leaves a smooth, almost powdery finish on your skin. It comes in a pen type container with a brush. You control the amount of concealer needed by twisting the bottom. I wanted to get it in the shade light/medium but it was out of stock. I would recommend this concealer, as I feel it is just as good as a lot of high end concealers.

My CVS Mini Haul

Yesterday I had to make a quick trip to my local CVS and decided to check out a few things. I have not been in the in quite some time so I was browsing over everything when I came across the Wet-n-Wild display.

The first thing I picked up was their Coloricon Bronzer in the shade 743A Reserve Your Cabana. It was the lightest shade they had, because I am pretty pale right now. To me it seems more like a highlighter but still pretty non the less. It was $4.19 which I thought was a pretty decent price.

The second thing that I got was a Mega Slicks lip gloss in 560A Sweet Glaze. I haven't used their lip glosses in a long time and wanted to check them out again. It is a pinkish color, basically like their clear gloss with a hint of pink. It smells really good and is really smooth on the lips. It was $1.99, can't beat that!

The next two items I got were eyeshadows (imagine that), one is the smaller 3 pan compact and the other is a 8 pan compact. Starting with the 3 pan compact in 380B Walking on Eggshells. They are three very pretty neutral colors. Good for a work day look. Retailed for $2.99

The 8 pan compact in 736 Petal Pusher is breath taking! One side is purples and the other burgundy. The two defines are in a blueish glitter and a charcoal glitter. Both very pretty! This retailed for $4.99

The last item I bought was their Mega Protein Mascara in C137 Very Black. It is soy and wheat protein fortified, it is enriched with acai oil and is paraben-free. I am anxious to see how good it is! This retailed for $2.19

I think I did pretty good on this little haul. I only spent $17.17. That's pretty good in my book. I'll post pictures in just a little bit

My favorite eyeliners :)

I am an eyeliner fanatic. I have a drawer full of them. Pencils, gel, and liquid. I used to just wear black eyeliner all the time until I tried Urban Decay. I rushed out and bought the 15th Anniversary pencil set and instantly fell in love. Their 24/7 liners are amazing! They are majorly pigmented, go on smoothly and last for quite a while. They come in so many beautiful colors, you are sure to find a color you love. I have bought numerous pencil sets from Urban Decay and have loved every one. They retail for $19 at Sephora, Ulta and Urban Decay. Ulta only carries 14 colors on their website, while Sephora carries 39 colors and Urban Decay offers all 40 colors.

I also like the Tarte EmphasEYES Waterproof Clay Shadow Liner. I got it as part of a set from Sephora and it quickly became one of my go-to eyeliners. This eyeliner last all day, I did not have to re-apply it mid day like I have to with most other eyeliners. It retails for $24 at both Ulta and Sephora. My only complaint is that I wish it came in more colors. Right now there's only 5 colors, but I still think its a great product.

My last favorite eyeliner is from Hard Candy. Their Take Me Out eyeliner is amazing. You can only buy Hard Candy at Walmart and they retail anywhere from $3.83-$5 and come in 25 different colors. Their staying power is pretty good, and I think are a must have to every beauty collection.

I am always interested in hearing about other makeup products so leave a comment below telling me about your favorite products because I would love to try them out too :)

March 2013 Birchbox #2

So maybe I am a bit of a sample hoarder, I mean I only have 2 birch boxes and 1 Ipsy bag.... It could be worse lol. In my 2nd Birchbox for the month of March I received the following:

1.) Marcelle - BB Cream Glow
I am really excited about this sample. It is a nice size sample which will let me see if I really like it or not. It is a Birchbox exclusive, from Canada and is said to work for all skin types. We shall see...

2.) Evologie- Intensive Blemish Serum
I a guessing this is part of a system because the directions say to apply serum directly to blemishes and then apply cream to the rest of your face day and night, then to continue using cream twice a day after the blemishes clear. All I know is this stuff really smells bad.

The other three samples that I received are repeats for this month

3.) Caldrea- Body Lotion

4.) Whish- Shave Crave Shave Cream

5.) Madewell for Birchbox- Emery Board

If you wanna see what I had to say about the last three products then check it out here

I have to say that I liked my first Birchbox much more than this one, this time around. I'm hoping next month is gonna be so much better :)

My Top 5 Mascaras

Like any girl, I have tried my fair share of Mascaras. Ones that claim to add length and one that claim to add volume. Below are my top 5 Mascaras :)

1.) Benefit- They're Real. Let me just say how much I love the wand for this mascara. It gets all of my lashes, even the little baby ones and goes on so smooth.

2.) Urban Decay- Supercurl Curling Mascara. For me this one gives my lashes a little bit of curl without having to use and eyelash curler.

3.) L'Oreal- Voluminous Carbon Black. I found out about this mascara by watching Marlena from MakeupGeek's videos. She was always saying it was here favorite mascara so I decided to give it a try. It is absolutely amazing. (Thanks Marlena!!)

4.) Urban Decay- Big Fatty Mascara. I bought this when they reformulated, and it was only $5. That was $5 well spent. I love how it makes my lashes seem fuller. I have not tried out the new formula so I am anxious to see if it is better than this one. Has anyone tried the new one? If so, leave me a comment and let me know!

5.)Maybelline- The Rocket Volum' Express. This is hands down my most favorite mascara. I love the wand, how it makes my lashes look and how it last all day for me. A lot of Mascaras that I have tried need to be reapplied midday, but not this one.

March 2013 Birchbox

It's that time again......Birchbox time!!! So this months theme is March Madness. I received the following:

Caldrea | Body Lotion
I received three 0.25 fl oz. in the scents aloe water apricot, tea olive lime, and coconut fig leaf. I have not opened any of them to see how they smell yet because I don't have anything to put them in.

Incoco | Nail Polish Appliqué
I got these in the style "spring vines". They are a very tealish color. They are suppose to last up to 14 days, there is no drying time and they are 3 free :) There are 16 double ended strips in the package.

Serge Normant | Meta Revive Dry Shampoo
I LOVE Dry shampoo! I was so excited to get this in my box this month. It is 2 fl oz. I have not tried it out yet but I will be soon. The only thing I can say so far is that I don't really like the smell too much. It's hard to explain but to me it smells like an older ladies perfume.

Whish | Shave Crave Shave Cream
I don't normally use shave creams, I prefer razors with moisture strips built in, but the smell of this shave cream is amazing! It smells just blueberries! I can't wait to use it.

Madewell for Birchbox | Emery Board
You can never have too many emery boards! I think it was a nice extra for Birchbox to add. It is so cute, it is pink on one side and has flowers on the other.

Ipsy January 2013

I figured since it has been a while, I would write a blog about what I got in my January Ipsy Bag.

For those who are not sure what an Ipsy bag is, it is a monthly subscription that you pay $10 a month for 4-5 samples sent to your door in a cute makeup bag.  Or you can purchase a yearly subscription for $110 and save $10. For more info, go to www.ipsy.com

This month I recieved:

1.) Nailtini- Straight Up Nail Color in the color "Bloody Mary"  It is a bright red color. I am not much on the bright reds for me but maybe it wont be too bad. I have not had the chance to try it out yet. .

2.) Josie Maran 100% Pure Argan Oil-  I am so excited to try this. I have heard such great things about Argan Oil and all the many uses of it.

3.) Pacifica Tuscan Blood Orange Mini Body Butter- When I first saw that wwe would be getting this lotion I was like, " oh, great" But I actually like the smell of it. Maybe it just threw me because it has blood in the name... a little strange lol.

4.)Soho Brush- You could either get a Concealer, Eyeliner or a Crease Brush. I recieved the crease Brush. It seems like a nice brush, it is also

5.) Sexy Hair- Spray & Play Volumizing Hair Spray- I actually own this product already and I am  excited to have a travel size that I can just keep in my bag. The smell of it is pretty good and iI love how nice it makes my hair look.

All these items came in a black zippered bag. The inside linning of the bag was my favorite as it was blue with stars :) Overall this was a pretty good bag.
